The Way of the Tarot Practitioner

The Octave Institute is a unique, ongoing Tarot system training, created by tarologist and filmmaker Laura Tamošiūnaitė. It was born out of ten years of learning, daily practice and discovery, which helped her not only to understand the symbolism of the Tarot cards, but also to deepen into their wisdom.

The Tarot teachings are everyone's inner path, which can be chosen for personal development and self-discovery. These teachings not only help you to understand yourself better, but also give you the knowledge to help others more effectively using your intuition, Tarot symbolism and archetypes.

The training is also for people who are considering the path of a Tarot practitioner. They are an excellent choice for professionals who work with people (coaches, psychologists, therapists, teachers, counsellors, etc.) to integrate the insights of the Tarot cards into their existing practice. This knowledge provides a broader approach to the analysis of human personality and life situations.

Level I overview

The Level I Online Tarot Training is designed to explore the basic concepts of Tarot card systems and their use. The training includes both theoretical and experiential and practical components, allowing participants to gain a deep understanding of the meanings of the cards, their alignments and intuitive interpretation.

This level offers the opportunity to embark on a profound path of personal development, which is essential not only for the effective use of the Tarot cards, but also for helping others through this practice. These modules are tailored for both personal growth and for individuals seeking to become professional Tarot practitioners.

Participants with no previous Tarot experience are recommended to complete at least 5 Level I modules before progressing to Level II modules. These modules cover the most important Tarot card systems - the meanings of the Major and Minor Arcana, the basics of card layouts and the basic symbols that are essential for deeper Tarot practice.

You can enrol in any Level I module at any time, adapting to your personal needs and pace of learning. Online training allows you to study from the comfort of your own home, while maintaining live communication with the teacher and the other participants in the group, and the knowledge you gain will help you discover new dimensions of yourself and the world around you.

Level II overview

The Level II Online Tarot Training is designed for participants who already have experience with the Tarot card system and have completed at least 5 Level I modules or have attended similar training elsewhere. This level focuses on more advanced theoretical and practical aspects, including intuitive card reading, more complex layouts and card analysis.

The Level II training is designed for those who seek a deeper understanding of the symbolism and archetypes of the Tarot cards, and to integrate this knowledge into their current business or profession. It is also ideal for people wishing to become professional Tarot practitioners. At this level you will begin to practice Tarot readings with your colleagues, gaining the practical experience needed to work with clients.

Online training provides a coherent and convenient way to learn, while the interaction with the group and the teacher allows you to deepen your practical skills and improve your interpretation technique. This level is an essential step for those who aspire to excellence in Tarot practice.

Overview of Module 13

In Module 15, you will have the opportunity to hone your skills and practise Tarot readings with people you don't know.

Supervised practice is experiential and practical, and gives you the opportunity to get valuable feedback from management and colleagues.

This 15 module is for people who have completed any equivalent Tarot training.

Upon completion of all training requirements, you will be awarded a certificate of completion.

Each I and Level II module ( 1-13) consists of FIVE 3-hour sessions for a total of 15 hours per module. Registration for the Level II modules will be announced depending on the number of participants who wish to practice fasillitation in groups. Registration will be announced shortly.
